I didn’t see any way on their website to order replacement parts for damaged antennas. Anyone got any info. I don’t even see their manuals online to download. I almost have mine on the ground thanks to the great DX Engineering tilt over bracket I used. I’ll need to decide if it is worth the effort and expense to repair it once I better assess the damage.

GAP has proved to be hit or miss on both the web and by e-mail. Your best bet is to call them. (772) 571-9922

Hello,
I would like to change a capacitor for 80m band. Somewhere I have seens a colours and capacity values for different frequencies on 80m band. Now I have 80m resonant on 3680 Hz and would like to go lower for digital work. Also, is it possible to buy that capacitor localy in EU?

I believe the capacitor assembly is made from dipped silver mica capacitors. You should be able to make your own but would probably have to parallel two capacitors to get the exact value for some frequencies. I don't know the voltage rating that GAP uses, but I suspect in the 1 kV range. The capacitors are potted in some type of material to make them weather resistant.

I just phoned GAP a couple of years ago to buy a replacement bottom mast element .. about 7 or 8 feet long. I forget the name of the person on the phone, but he answered quickly and it was simple to order it over the phone, paying by a credit card. The cost was around $80, shipped, and I had it about a week later. All-in-all I was satisfied.

I’m a very casual ham type person .. not super active. I wanted an antenna that would cover all of the HF bands, a small footprint, would not look like to NASA antenna and a reasonably low swr on all bands (to minimize tuner requirements). I realize it is a compromise, especially on some bands, but it seems very usable with FT8. Its served me well in the 15 or so years that I’ve had it.

Attached is a price list I must have gotten a few years back (2014) from GAP. This was after I discovered the disassembled used Titan I had bought did not have the counterpoise or bracket with it. I do not know if this list is still current but it gives you an idea. See also AE2A's improved version of Titan documentation, superior to GAP's own assembly manual.
