Available for free download on the Apple Store here , AJA has announced a Lite version of their popular AJA System Test software for Windows and Mac solutions. The app establishes a real world speed test that allows it to simulate the reading and writing of files. Designed specifically for digital video and post production houses, the app will work with hard disks, SSD drives, RAID setups and NAS systems. Your choice of data rate in MB/s or frame rate and FPS is available with easy-to-understand graphs that will display performance history and test results. Connected systems are also displayed.

Numbers from the app can also be quickly imported into spreadsheets or third-party software for even more detailed results. The full System Test 2.1 software which offers PCIe tests for I/O device performance is available here for Mac and Windows. It’s also a free program and will work with the AJA KONA, Io and T-Tap solutions.
